Chaahat...

suraj dhal sa gaya tha
sab kuch tham sa gaya tha
raat ka aalam chaa raha tha
sitaron ke tale nasha sa aa raha tha

aise hi baitha main tumhare intezaar main
kuch se kuch kiye jaa raha tha
zindagi ko tumne naya mod diya tha
berang kaagaz ko jaise rang diya tha

har lamha har pal
main yeh sochta hun
kaise mujhe tumne
jine ka bahana diya tha

tumhari woh khilkhalati hui hasi
woh zulfon ka mathe par girna
woh kajal bhare naina
aur bas us ek pal main jeena

samundar kinare baitha sochta hun
tum bin khud ko hi khojta hun
main bhi ek pal jeena chahta hun
bas us pal main tumhara saath chahta hun...

Akhir Kab Tak ?

Tez... Bahut Tez...
Aage badhna hai sabko
Duniya se ek kadam aage
Chalna hai sabko

raftar ke is nashe main choor hain sab
apno se hi kitne door hain sab
laalach ke nashe main doobe jaa rahe hain
ahem main hi jiye jaa rahe hain

andhiyaara chaa raha hai charon or
naa jane insaan ko kiche hai ab kaisi dor
kaisa hai yeh parivesh koi nahi jaanta
apno ko is duniya main koi nahi pehchanta

chaaron dishaon main hahakaar chaaya hai
manav sanskriti main naya mod aya hai
bamb ke dhamakon se tharra uthe hain sabhi
aasman khoon se laal hone aaya hai

umeed ka daman thame
baithe hain sabhi
us pal ke intezaar main
kab hoga ujiyara
is andheri raat main ????

Khud Ki Talaash...

aaj kaafi din baad
badli chaai hai
baarish ki boonde
fir dharti par aayi hain

nayi kaliyan naye patte khilne ko hain
panchi khoole aasman main udne ko hain
main bhi ud jaana chahta hoon
naye shikar ko choo jana chahta hoon

aaj fir hasne ko ji chahta hai
umange poore karne ko ji chahta hai
bhed chaal main kahin khoya tha main
aaj khud ki raah pe chalne ko ji chahta hai

kisi kamre main jaise band tha main
aaj bahar nikalne ko ji chahta hai
duniya ke nazare bahut hassen hai
in sabko aankhon main band karne ka ji chahta hai

In reeti riwazon se dum ghoot raha tha mera
aashaaon ke bojh se sir jhook raha tha mera
in bandishon ko tod dena chahta hoon main
aaj khulke saans lena chahta hoon main

yeh zindagi bahut choti si hai
bhanvar main fasi kashti si hai
is kashti ko ab kinaare lagana hai
zindagi ko naye mukaam pe pauhchana hai

aage ki raah kathin hogi
har pal ek nayi chunauti hogi
par mujhe aage badhte jaan hai
zindagi main kuch kar dikhana hai...

Dosti...

waqt ke saath sab badal jaata hai
jinka saath tha
unse nata toot jaata hai

sab chal dete hain apni rahon pe
joonjhte hain zindagi ke sawalo se
aise main dost kinko yaad rehte hain
par janaab hum toh apke aas paas hi rehte hain....

woh bhi din the jab ek saath guzaara hota tha
rukhi sukhi khate the hum
par waqt humara hota tha...

aage aap badh diye
hume peeche chod
mudke bhi naa dekha
dil diya humara tod...

apki dosti ke hum aaj bhi kayal hain
aapne bhoola diya toh kya
yeh rishta humari taraf se kayam hai....

Aur main... Aur main... Aur main...

Kabhi Ped ki Daali se Patte Ko girte dekha hai

Kabhi baadal se nikli paani ki us boond Ko girte dekha hai

Pata nahi nahi kahan jaakar thamega

Pata nahi kahan ashiana milega

Aise hi chala ja raha hoon main

Pata nahi kis or badha jaa raha hoon main

Koi manzil nahi

Koi theekana nahi

Duniya ki bheed main khoya jaa raha hoon main

Zindagi jaise tham si gayi hai

Hasi hothon par aakar ruk si gayi hai

Dishaheen ban gayi hain saari dishayen

Humne kasme wade saare nibhaye

Fir bhi humko chod chal diye woh

Muh apna mod chal diye woh

Ek pal main humko anjaan kar diya

Ae khuda mohabbat ka kya sila diya…

Aur main… Aur main… Aur main…

Shairi... Continued...

kahan tanhaiyon main gum rehte hai janaab
duniya se bichde hue kyun rehte hain aap

koi khabar nahi kya chal raha hai yahan
kisi ki madhosh aankhon main khoye rehte hain aap
aahat hoti hai toh nazre ghum jaati hain
intezaar rehta hai kisi ke aane ka

ladkhadaye nahi aap kabhi mehkhane main
par unki nazron ka nasha itna hai
behoshi ka aalam chaya rehta hai
itna bhi nahi pata yahan kaun apna hai....

duniya bachti hai gulab ke kaanton se
aap patharon pe sej sajai baithe hain
zamane ki parwah nahi ki kabhi
is dard main khud ko hi bhulaye baithe hain.....

kahan tanhaiyon main gum rehte hai janaab
duniya se bichde hue kyun rehte hain aap

Suraj Ki Ek Kiran

Suraj ki ek kiran Bankar aaie thi woh
Babul ke ghar khushiyon ka sama laai thi woh

Gudde aur Gudia ka khel uska nirala tha
Maa ne usko bade laad pyaar se pala tha
Baba ke sar ki shaan thi woh
Apne bhaiyon ke dilo ki jaan thi woh

Aaj chod chali woh apne babul ka aangan
Piya ki duniya sawarne
Dekho woh baithi hai nanhi si dulhan
apne kal ke intezaar main

Kuch Aashayen, Kuch Umange, Kuch Sapne
Thodi hasi ke pal aur woh rula dene wale lamhe

Ek nayi zindagi main woh kadam rakhne jaa rahi thi
Chodkar bachpan ka daaman ab woh badi hone jaa rahi thi

Naazuk hai woh dor jispar chalna hai usko
Naie rishton ke rang main rangana hai usko

Woh ab chali jaa Rahi hai Yaadien Sameten
Sabki Aankhon main khushi ke Aansu Deke
Soona hai ab babul ka aangan
kahan hai woh khushi bhare lamhe

Suraj ki ek kiran Bankar aaie thi woh
Babul ke ghar khushiyon ka sama laai thi woh

Another Day In My Life

The birds are chirping
The Flowers are blooming
The sun is shinning bright

and here starts another day in my life...

When i first met you
I knew it was true
That God made me only for you
and i must say that
i love you

The birds are chirping
The Flowers are blooming
The sun is shinning bright

and here starts another day in my life...

I have fallen in love
And am smitten by you
I am looking for a dove
But i can't find you

You got rosy cheeks
and a dimpled chin
little blue eyes
and snow white skin

The birds are chirping
The Flowers are blooming
The sun is shinning bright

and here starts another day in my life...

It is my birthday today
and i am thirty two
I am asking God
To give me you

As a birthday present
Baby I want you...

So come to me
and i am gonna die for you...

The birds are chirping
The Flowers are blooming
The sun is shinning bright

and here starts another day in my life...

SIPAHI KI ZINDAGI

Woh khada hai Sarhad par Apna sina Taankar
Kya ho sakta hai Anjaam is Sabka Jaankar

Yaad aati hai usko
Apne Gaon ki mitti ki
Maa ki roti hui aankhon ki
Bachon ki siski ki

Bhulaiye Baitha hai sab bus is intezaar main
Desh ke liye Apni jaan khatre main daal ke
Ek junnon ab uske sar pe sawaar hai
Desh ki raksha ke liye hi bana uska har waar hai

Nahi bachega dushman ab usko yeh batlado
Desh ki aan ke liye toh haazir uski jan hai

Woh khada hai Sarhad par Apna sina Taankar
Kya ho sakta hai Anjaam is Sabka Jaankar

A SONG - BY ME

Have written this song.. just tell me hows it...

The spring is in the Air
And i feel on top of the world
I just dont care about others
Coz I know I can be there

The spring is in the Air
And i feel on top of the world
I just dont care about others
Coz I know I can be there

Life is beautifull
You gotta get through
just don't stop at hurdles
better things are waiting for you

The spring is in the Air
And i feel on top of the world
I just dont care about others
Coz I know I can be there

There is darkness all around
just hold on to your ground
coz some day the sun will shine
and the whole world will be mine

We will face together
whatever comes our way
just dont be afraid
coz things are gonna be great

The spring is in the Air
And i feel on top of the world
I just dont care about others
Coz I know I can be there

When you reach the top
you are all alone
there are no friends for you
but enemies on the hold

But when you reach the top
Dont forget from where you came
work hard and be humane and no sorrows shall remain
the sun will shine bright
and darkness will subside

The spring is in the Air
And i feel on top of the world
I just dont care about others
Coz I know I can be there

The spring is in the Air
And i feel on top of the world
I just dont care about others
Coz I know I can be there....

EXPERT COMMENTS - MEDIA HYPE

An article in on of the English daily's gave a very good insight into how media creates a hype out of everything, it said something like Former Indian cricketers and former internationals cricketers speculating and commenting on the way Sachin Tendulkar plays.

Somebody should go and ask them about there records when they played and then compare them to Sachin's records...

Mr. Ian Chappell is just trying to salvage some pride for his brother Mr. Greg Chappell by writing articles titled “Look into that Mirror Sachin”, and “Tendulkar should consider retiring”. Well Mr. Ian Chappell we are all now well versed with your creative writing skills but would you mind keeping your thoughts and comments about others to yourself and concentrate on your life.

And our media is the one to be blamed for all this, have we forgotten about whom we are talking about, its a man who has carried hopes and expectations of 100 million people for more than two decades now, yes sir here I am talking about Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar...

Two days ago Mr. Chappell was praising Brain Charles Lara, saying that he is the best batsman in the world ( some mirror told him ), well no doubt that Lara and Tendulkar have been going through a lean phase, but we cannot question there loyalty towards the game. After the West Indies lost to Sri Lanka, Mr. Chappell would now have something more to write about and media will have some new masala, very shortly we can expect to see a huge write-up with titles like –

GIANTS ON THERE WAY OUT – LARA AND TENDULKAR

There will be public opinion polls, effigies would be burnt, former cricketers will cry there opinions out, and news channels will have a field day (talking to Lara’s dog and Sachin’s cat), analyzing last previous years stats and blah blah blah … Please give these people a break and let them play…

Navjot Singh Sidhu says that public memory is very short in India, and the next time Sachin scores a hundred people will forget everything , but I want to ask all these people that why should it come to such a scenario, this guy has played for his country for such a long time, its his profession , after all to err is human…

HAVEN’T WE EVER DONE SOMETHING WRONG WHEN WE ARE WORKING, HASN’T OUR BOSS BEEN ANGRY WITH US…

So why different rules for cricketers, they have had a bad project (“WORLD CUP”)
Why not wait patiently and give them another chance.

How can we ever dream of questioning credentials of someone of Tendulkar’s stature, its really disheartening to see our own people behaving in such a manner and media adding fuel to the fire by announcing public opinion poll results, in which not more than 2 percent of our population has taken part and giving them titles such as ‘Junta ki Aawaz’. In India cricket is a religion and we have give these cricketers place in our hearts so disappointment is natural, but being disappointed doesn’t mean that we ridicule them and get there heads chopped off…

People calling for Sachin’s retirement, will there be someone to fill in his shoes, if tomorrow Sachin, Sourav and Dravid and Sehwag they all retire who will take there place in the team, mind you we will find beating even Bermuda difficult after that…

Let us all be patient and give our team a little time, let the new coach take over and let us pray that and hope that our MEN IN BLUE MAKE US ALL PROUD…

And about Little Master, please stop worrying about him, he is Head and Shoulders above others and knows best what is to be done.

GUILD OF ACTORS AT SP

21st January 2007...

Applause, Accolades, Praises, and chants of HIP HIP HURRAY!!!

FLASHBACK -

SEPTEMBER 2006 -

Amidst chaos, confussion, work pressure... agroup of individuals set out to recreate a legacy which has become a part of SP folklore since 2004, when the GASP first took place... and since than as they say its history...

Anu, Jyoti, Sameer, Meghana, Abhijeet, Daisy, Priya, Pragya, Amshu, Raji, Kirti,Jay, Archish,Tej, Yogi and all... Even legendary Vijay Tendulkar would be proud of your performance...

Its hard to hold the audience attention for 5 minutes but you guys managed to hold it for 2 hours 15 minutes... You toiled hard for three months... and your hard work bore fruit... we were all left gsping at the end... And the batch supported you all, entire PGP-1 turned out dressed in Red and Black... Colours of the GASP logo...

To give you background on Vijay Tendulkar:

VIJAY TENDULKAR is a leading contemporary Indian playwright, screen and television writer, literary essayist, political journalist, and social commentator. For the past four decades he has been the most influential dramatist and theater personality in Marathi, the principal language of the state of Maharashtra, which has had a continuous literary history since the end of the classical period in India and has nearly seventy-five million speakers today.

A lifelong resident of the city of Mumbai, Mr Tendulkar is the author of thirty full-length plays and twenty-three one-act plays, several of which have become classics of modern Indian theater. Ghashiram kotwal (Ghashiram the Constable) (1972), a musical combining Marathi folk performance styles and contemporary theatrical techniques, is one of the longest-running plays in the world, with over six thousand performances in India and abroad, in the original and in translation. Mr Tendulkar's output in Marathi also includes eleven plays for children, four collections of short stories, one novel, and five volumes of literary essays and social criticism, all of which have contributed to a remarkable transformation of the modern literary landscape of Maharashtra and of India as a whole. He is an important translator in Marathi, having rendered nine novels and two biographies into the language, as well as five plays. He is the author of original stories and screenplays for eight films in Marathi, including Umbartha (The Threshold) , a groundbreaking feature film on women's activism in India.

And if we talk about Kamla - KAMALA, written in the naturalistic mode, is a topical play inspired by a real-life incident - the Indian Express exposé by Ashwin Sarin, who actually bought a girl from a rural flesh market and presented her at a press conference. By using this incident as a launching pad, Tendulkar raises certain cardinal questions regarding the value system of a modern success-oriented generation which is ready to sacrifice human values even in the name of humanity itself. The innate self-deception of this standpoint is exposed dramatically by the playwright. At the center of the play is a self-seeking journalist, Jaisingh Jadav, who treats the woman he has purchased from the flesh market as an object that can buy him a promotion in his job and a reputation in his professional life. Jadav never stops to think about what will happen to Kamala after this exposé. Tendulkar makes a jibe at the modern concept of journalism which stresses the sensational. For this, he uses Kakasaheb, a journalist of the old school, who runs a small paper with his own resources. Kakasaheb provides the true ideals of journalism and in contrast to these, Jadav's reporting is shown in a critical light. KAMALA also explores the position of women in contemporary Indian society. Through Sarita, Jadav's wife, who is in her own way as exploited as Kamala, Tendulkar exposes the chauvinism intrinsic in the modern Indian male who believes himself to be liberal-minded. Though Tendulkar suggests that Sarita cannot unlearn what she has come to realize, at the end of the play there is a faint hope of her attaining independence sometime in the future. KUDOS GASPIANS....

And this how the batch responded to the teams effort...

In Amlan Da's Words -

Dear GASP ian's
It was a privilege to witness the show that you all had put up...
I always thought that good Actors are a different breed, not just normal
human beings of flesh and blood like us.... But you all proved me wrong.
The normal guys from amongst us appeared allien when tear drops trickled
down their cheeks.. I wondered if I was seeing the same Sameer, Meghana,
Tej, Abhijeet, Kirti and Yogesh that I am habituated in seeing in Dome 1 :)
Of course I should congratulate the Directors ( Anu & Jyoti) and the entire
team for putting up such a splendid performance.
The amount of professionalism that all of you have shown is awesome, I can
take a bet that this show can be put up in any leading operas with people
queing for tickets at a princely sum.
But I think Placom has a job at hand... To place Mr. Sacked Reporter :)
Hats Off to you all .....
My sincere Regards
Amlan

DISCUSSING SOMETHING IMPORTANT

TEAM SBU MARKETING

ALAS TIME FLIES AND YOU MAKE SOME GOOD FRIENDS
Date: October 5, 2006
Day : Thursday
Time: 11:42 Hours

It has been four months (approximately) since I set foot on SPJIMR campus on June 20th 2006 - guess what - i have survived and am still alive.

A lot has happened in these past 4 months, I have struggled with Quant as Virender Sehwag struggles against the out swinger, surprisingly my performance was good only in operations management which is not my specialization and I am at the bottom of the pyramid in the specialization which I have chosen… ahem ahem (marketing), but I guess that happens…

I forgot to mention in my previous entries that we have started a rebel group “PDF” which is better known as “The Participants Democratic Front”, opposing the PEC and our popularity is on the rise.

I became a part of SBU – Marketing and the team members are great, we started of with the MMQz, and god was it tough to frame the questions. But the best part was the hype we created regarding the whole event, sending mails stating

I AM BACK PGP – 1

And what followed was

Ah! The Gauntlet has been throw
Courage Thou Hath shown
But will ye stand my "TEST"
Where none survive but the best
PGP – 1 I AM BACK!!!!

And people actually replied to these mails

Hark! Sniff the Air and Open your eyes
Look about thyself and know where brilliance lies ....
If Tthe Best is who you seek
Realise now, you are not Dealing with the meek !!!!!!

"WELCOME BACK !!!!!!!" (back.welcome@gmail.com)

Foul is the hour and stench fills the heavy air
We are dealin with guys, whose names, they fear to bare

Cometh the hour and cometh forward only men of steel
We hail not the ones who hide and take to their heel

So the gauntlet we throw back and raise the bar
Lets see, this hype, how long u can carry on and how far

PGP1 fears no force, mortal or otherwise
Cause we are not the brawn, we are the wise.

And the MMQz were a huge success

Hey that’s not all. A lot more happened in TRIM 1, yes I did more badly in quant but tell me something new…

We saw lots off movies Lage Raho, John Tucker Must die and more, PDF was making its presence felt in every arena – Battu and Ankita going for Sun Tzu, Anubhav Shreyas and Bhargav doing well in studies and Jyoti and Urs truly and Mallu Python (Sandeep Menon) njoying life and doing well in cricket ( not that it counts anywhere).

Amlan da and sculptors did a great job in organizing the matches…

In the mean while I went home a couple of time and loved it…
( am going again in a couple of weeks)

We had a Dandiya night and there was no kurta available so I went in a T-shirt to paly dandiy along with shreyas and from there we went to Mocha for a coffee…
